One-Design Showcase
The Topaz RaceX is a 1 or 2-person dinghy that is gaining popularity across the sailing world. With a powerful 75 Sq ft fully battened Mylar mainsail, 19 sq ft jib, and 90 sq. ft. asymmetric spinnaker. the Race X will deliver seriously fast sailing for the club sailor right through to a professional sailor. The asymmetric system is simple, easy to use and easy to rig and takes the boat to another level only found in boats costing twice the retail price. It has a planing hull constructed of rotomolded polyethylene. The hull is double molded with a bonded layer of foam between the two layers. This adds rigidity and flotation all at once, while keeping the weight down. At 132 pounds, this is an easy hull to move, store or cartop.
Fleets are forming in Colorado, Southern California, Florida, South Carolina. There are several RaceX’s across the US and Canada so new fleets will form as boats arrive. If you are interested in joining the RaceX racing community, contact Joe Chinburg at [email protected] or join us on Facebook; Race X one design by Topaz Sailboats. We are working on creating the US RaceX Nationals and hope to have RaceX North Americans in the next couple of years.
